Invisible fret ends

Times move on. Vintage basses and the manufacturing techniques of the time could not accommodate a "blind" fret slot, nor have the slot "floor" follow the compound radius of the fretboard surface.

We can do this now and the pay-off in terms of build quality, feel and tonality is huge.

Fretboard material mass is preserved, with no air pockets below the fret tang.

You can't see or feel those fret end "tangs" breaking through the side of the fretboard. We use hide glue to further improve the connection between fret and board, which also means a serviceable neck in terms of replacing any worn frets later down the line. Superglue or epoxy would be the wrong choice here!

Once you have seen and played one of our basses with this feature, we don't think you'll look back...
